Synopsis

Το The Americans είναι ένα δράμα εποχής σχετικά με ένα ζευγάρι Σοβιετικών πρακτόρων, παριστάνοντας τους Αμερικανούς που ζουν στα προάστια της Ουάσινγκτον λίγο μετά την εκλογή του προέδρου Ronald Reagan. Ο κανονισμένος γάμος των Phillip-Elizabeth Jennings με τα 2 παιδιά – την δεκατριάχρονη Paige και τον δεκάχρονο Henry- τα οποία δεν έχουν την παραμικρή ιδέα για την πραγματική ταυτότητα των γονιών τους, γίνεται μέρα με την μέρα ολοένα και πιο αληθινός, αλλά δοκιμάζεται συνέχεια από την κλιμάκωση του Ψυχρού Πολέμου και τις οικίες αλλά επικίνδυνες σχέσεις τους με ένα δίκτυο κατασκόπων και πληροφοριοδοτών που έχουν υπό τον έλεγχο τους.

Set during the Cold War period in the 1980s, The Americans is the story of Elizabeth and Philip Jennings, two Soviet KGB officers posing as an American married couple in the suburbs of Washington D.C. and their neighbor, Stan Beeman, an FBI Counterintelligence agent.
